Sculpture from 1860 to the Present Day
This year's India Art Fair was even more popular than last year. The new location in the modern purpose-built tent gave an added excitement to this event, which is the cutting edge of the art world in India. This year there were 45 dealers from countries outside of India providing a really international flavour to the event, now firmly established as the highlight of the Indian Art calendar.
The star of the show by popular and critical acclaim was the "Trojan Horse" by Willie Bester, which featured with large illustrations in numerous papers including the Business Standard. Also popular was the work of Johannes von Stumm, new-comer Lionel Smit and the ever-popular Maurice Blik and Hanneke Beaumont. The full selection of works we exhibited may be viewed here.
