Hanneke Beaumont (Belgian, Contemporary)
Hanneke Beaumont was born in Maastricht, The Netherlands. After studying in the United States, she moved to Belgium, where she still lives today. Her studio is in Pietrasanta where she realises her sculpture in terracotta, bronze and cast iron. Hanneke has won numerous commissions for public projects, including Le Depart—an installation of two life-size figures at Brussels Airport. Most recently the European Union commissioned a monumental sculpture standing 6 meters tall entitled Stepping Forward.
In 2006 Robert Bowman sold two life-size figures to The Frederik Meijer Museum (below), Grand Rapids, USA. In 2009 The Vero Beach Museum of Art in Florida, USA purchased bronzes #56 by Hanneke Beaumont for their permanent collection.
